NodeREDautomation

Smart Home should be tailored to your needs. I could relay on a single brand and make my home automation tied to a specific service, but I like the freedom and creativity that comes with connecting my favourite gadgets together against the rules. Most of my Smart Home projects are based on NodeRED or Raspberry Pi as thanks to this approach I can enjoy IKEA buttons with MiHome Lights and Sonoff gadgets. It may take more time and energy than a commercial system, but my approach is often less expensive and much more rewarding. Take a look at each ecosystem and learn how to make it all play nice together.
