One more way to get Tasker: Google Play Pass

350 apps for $1.99 a month

Google Play store announced its own subscription service: Google Play Pass. For a fixed monthly price you can get access to 350 apps from the Play Store. Turns out that, while Google’s promoting games as the main apps you can access for free, my favourite Tasker is on the list as well.

Tasker with PlayPass

Play Pass subscription comes with a discount, so you can get the year access for (12 x $1.99 new members) $23.88 vs (12 x $4.99 regular price) $58.99 without the new person’s discount. While this is not the most economic way to get Tasker, bundled games and apps can sway your decision.

Currently, the Google Play Pass is available in the USA only and the subscription can be shared with members of the Family Library, increasing the value of the service even further.

I came across this post, which confirms that Tasker, in fact, is on the list.

As you can see, Kellen was able to access the Tasker app as part of his subscription.

AutoApps are running on separate subscription, so I doubt plugins would be included in the deal, but if you are interested in trying Tasker, $1.99 is certainly better than $2.99 plus you get the access to at least 349 other apps.

The ad mentions some of my fav games:

Google Play Pass mentions that apps will come not only free but will also feature no in-app ads.

Let me know what do you think about Google Play Pass. What apps would you like to see available via this service? Use this Reddit thread for comments.
