Return of the Aldi’s 3D printer

Aldi has increased the stock this time.

Yesterday, I noticed an older article of mine started to trend. This is not usual unless the article refers to Aldi’s 3D printer and the supermarket has done it again! Your local supermarket is back with the affordable 3D printer!

What is the Aldi’s 3D printer?

Aldi’s 3D Printer that whirled shoppers into a frenzy last Christmas will return on Thursday 22nd November, priced at just £299.99. Available exclusively online, Aldi has increased stock by 200% to ensure tech fans across the UK have the chance to get their hands on the affordable printer.

The design of the printer is nearly identical with the Wanhao Plus, you can expect the specification to match the Aldi’s 3D Printer.

Is the printer worth £300?

If you were trying to find the same model cheaper,  aliexpress.com listings are priced around $315. While it is a little cheaper than the £300 Aldi’s asking price, the comfort of the local distributor, and not risking getting slapped with the import tax are a very tempting prospect.
